Engine 244


Engine 244
Engine 244 is our primary response vehicle for structure fires in the area of Stony Lake and the Lake Michigan shoreline communities. It is also equipped to pull the trailer which contains our ATV. It is a 2012 International/Sutphen 4X4 pumper. It is equipped with a 1000 GPM pump and carries 500 gallons of water. It has a 10,000-watt Smart Power Hydraulic generator and is equipped with a 3000-watt light tower. It carries 1000’ of 4” hose, 700 of 2 1/2” hose, and 1000’ of 1 3/4” hose. It carries a 20’ extension ladder. A Stihl circular rescue saw Stihl vent saw, and a regular chain saw, 5 portable floodlights, hand tools, extinguishers, First aid kit, Oxygen, and AED. It carries 4 SCBA with spare bottles and a thermal imaging camera. It carries a PPV fan and a smoke ejector.

Rescue Engine 243


Rescue Engine 243
Rescue Engine 243 is our primary first out engine. It responds to all structure fires, vehicle accidents where extrication is needed, vehicle fires, and most auto aid calls. It is a 2008 Alexis/HME equipped with a 1500 gallon per minute pump and carries 1000 gallons of water and 20 gallons of foam. It has a 20,000-watt hydraulic generator and is equipped with a 21’ light tower. It carries preconnected to an electric power unit a Hurst Cutter and Spreader along with a portable power unit with a Combi tool and several hydraulic rams. It carries a set of airbags, vehicle stabilizers, along with several Sawzall’s and other various hand rescue tools. It has 6 self-contained breathing apparatus along with 8 spare air tanks and a thermal imaging camera. It carries an AED and various other first aid equipment as well as a Stokes basket stretcher. It has a 24’ extension ladder, a 14’ roof ladder, 10’ attic ladder 10’ combination ladder, and a 21’ Little Giant ladder. It is equipped with 1000’ of 5” hose, 700’ of 2 ½” hose and 1000’ of 1 ¾” hose. It has a smoke ejector a positive pressure vent fan, several portable floodlights, as well as a chainsaw, Stihl vent saw, and a K-12 circular rescue saw. This unit also carries the department RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) kit, and is licensed as one of our three Medical units.

Tender/Engine 261
Tender/Engine 261 is our second out truck on all structure fires in non-hydrant areas. It is also our primary mutual aid truck for responses to second alarms. It responsds to all vehicle fires for both water and blocking, all vehicle accidents for blocking and traffic control, all wildfires for water supply and structure protection. It is a 2003 Alexis/Freightliner with a 1000 gallon per minute pump and carries 2000 gallons of water. It is equipped with 1200’of 3” hose, 400’ of 2 ½” and 900’ of 1 ¾’. It carries a 35’ extension ladder, 16’ roof ladder, and 10’ attic ladder. It is equipped with 2 self-contained breathing apparatus, 4 spare air tanks, a chain saw, and first aid equipment. It carries a 5000-watt generator, a thermal imagine camera, and portable floodlighting equipment. It has a 3000-gallon fold-a-tank and is equipped with both rear and side dump valves.

Air/Support 254


Air/Support 254
Air/Support 254 is our primary support unit, used primarily to supply air to refill SCBA tanks and as a place to rehab firefighters on the scene of an emergency. It usually goes on all structure fires and mutual aid calls if enough personnel are available. Prior to the purchase of our two primary engines, it was used to transport crew members to fires It is a 1997 Alexis/Ford equipped with a 4-bottle cascade system along with spare air bottles, 4000-watt generator, and portable lighting equipment. It carries several level B hazmat suits and other various tools. It has a small refrigerator and is air-conditioned for use as a rehab unit.

Brush Unit 271


Brush Unit 271
Brush Unit 271 is our primary brush truck and is also used to respond to down wire calls, assists to EMS, odor and smoke investigations, Carbon Monoxide alarm calls as well as some vehicle accident calls, and structure fire calls along the lakeshore. It is also equipped to tow the ATV trailer. It is our primary mutual aid wildland truck along with the ATV. It is a 2020 International flatbed Type 6 pickup. It carries a 200-gpm pump with 300 gallons of water. 200’ of 1 ½” hose along with 400’ of 1” hose. It carries 2 SCBA’s, a 1000-watt generator with attached flood light, a chain saw, various hand tools and a 16’ extension ladder and a 9’ folding ladder. It is also equipped with an AED, Oxygen and First Aid supplies as well as a thermal imagine camera and various spill clean-up equipment. This unit is the second of our three licensed Medical units.

Brush Unit 272 Is our wildland/off-road response vehicle that is used for brush fires and rescue situations that involve removal of the victim from areas that are not readily accessible to normal wheeled vehicles. The unit and trailer were purchased by the firefighter’s association with funds raised from the annual golf scramble. It is a 2014 Polaris ATV equipped with 70 gallons of water and a 50 gallon per minute pump. It carries 200’ of 1” hose, a chain saw, and small hand tools. It is also capable of carrying a stokes stretcher for use as a wildland rescue unit.

Brush Unit 273
Brush Unit 273 is our second out wildland truck. It is equipped to deal with most of the same situations and respond to the same calls as Brush 271. The main difference is this truck is a 2-firefighter cab, so is limited in crew-carrying capability. It is a 2005 Ford F-350 equipped with a 200 gallon per minute engine-driven pump and carries 250 gallons of water and 5 gallons of foam. It is equipped with 200’ of 1 1/2” hose and 200’ of 1” hose. It also carries a booster reel with 150’ of 1” hose. It carries an AED, oxygen, and other first-aid equipment. It has a 2000-watt generator with a mounted floodlight, a chain saw and 2 self-contained breathing apparatuses, and a 12’ extension ladder. It also carries absorbent pads, socks, and floor dry to handle small spills. Brush Unit 273 is the last of our three Medical units.

Truck 291
Truck 291 is our aerial ladder, it responds second out on all structure fires in areas with hydrants, is our primary mutual aid truck for those areas with hydrants, and is first out on commercial, industrial, and multiple occupancy residential locations. It is a 1991 E-One quint equipped with a 1750 gallon per minute pump and carries 700 gallons of water. It has a 75’ aerial ladder and is also equipped with a 35’ extension ladder, a 28’ extension ladder, a 14’ extension ladder, 2- 16’ roof ladders as well as a 10’ folding attic ladder. It carries 1000’ of 5” hose, 200’ of 2 ½” hose, and 900’ of 1 ¾” hose. It has a 6500-watt generator, carries 2 portable floodlights, a smoke ejector, Stihl vent saw and K-12 circular saw, and 4 self-contained breathing apparatus, 6 spare air tanks, 10 salvage covers, and a thermal imaging camera.
